HuaXia Celestial City Project is an ambitious vertical urban prototype situated in the heart of Xixiang, Bao’an District, Shenzhen — a pivotal node in the Greater Bay Area’s golden inner bay corridor. Adjacent to Qianhai Free Trade Zone, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, and Dachan Bay International Shipping Port, the site occupies 200,000 square meters and will rise as a new benchmark for sustainable high-density living.
The development embraces a hybrid typology of residential, institutional, commercial, and ecological systems across a futuristic multi-level urban fabric. Anchored by the Xixiang River, which traverses the site diagonally, the city is envisioned as a multidimensional ecological corridor that links land and sky, infrastructure and community, nature and innovation.
Conceptually rooted in the reinvention of vertical urbanism, the project adopts a three-tier framework: a subterranean infrastructure base housing zero-carbon vertical farms, AI-managed logistics, and smart mobility hubs; a vibrant ground and podium level integrating museums, educational campuses, civic plazas, and immersive cultural zones; and an upper floating residential settlement composed of low-rise, European-style communities connected via Skyhub modules. Throughout the masterplan, photovoltaic facades, air-to-water systems, autonomous mobility, and digital twin governance tools create a high-performance ecosystem capable of energy independence and urban regeneration.
HuaXia Celestial City serves as a national-level testbed for integrated sustainable development, targeting four strategic pillars: international financial and governance display, state-owned enterprise tech incubation, global cultural tourism and immersive content, and floating ecological habitation. The project is designed not only to optimize space but to catalyze future-ready industries and societal systems. Its hybrid return model — combining asset sales, operational income, digital platform services, and environmental assets — redefines city-making as a long-term, regenerative investment. More than a city, HuaXia Celestial City is a prototype for humanity’s vertical future.
